One Country Two Creation (system) – National song
<<March of the Volunteers>> is the national anthem of the People’s Republic of China; a symbol of China. “Binary Numeral System” which represents numeric values using two symbols: 0 and 1, is used internally by almost all modern computers which is no any specific national and culture background. When one country is presented by two systems, what the situation will be looked like.
Therefore, I try to represent this situation with China anthem and Binary Numeral System. First of all, the lyrics of the China anthem were converted to Binary text via Binary to text converter in computer. In addition, there are 5 Hong Kong people to be invited to record their voice for “1” and “0” with their own dialect. Then, according to the rhythm of China anthem, the binary code of the lyrics will be spoken one by one. Owing to speak the serials of code in the short period for matching the rhythm, the sound of the code is freak and
compressed extremely. After go through this complex decoding and encoding process, the lyrics are difficult to be listened and interpreted. The people may be still able to recognize it is China anthem according to the typical orchestra play. Although the anthem becomes discordant and intricacy, the original content of anthem there is no any changed; was still composed by Nie Er, to a text by Tian Han. The changing is that the anthem was played with 2 numbers “0” and “1” and through a variety of people to interrupt and read these two keys (systems). That is what I understand for “One Country Two Creation (systems)”.
